Week 3, 15th-19th December I listened to a beautiful Maria Kaleniemi (Finnish Accordionist) track on Monday morning. It was so inspiring that I went straight up to Grandpa’s house(my studio!)and wrote an Eb reel called The Smugglers. The anchorage at Tanera and Priest Island is so good that it was often used to smuggle whiskey


Week 1 1st-7th December Having been on tour for most of October and all of November I was in need of some rest before getting right down to writing. Thursday the 4th of December was my official album start date.  The first few days were spent setting up all my gear and establishing my work

Summer Isles Festival

I am thrilled to bits that the Summer Isles Festival has been nominated for Community Project of the Year at the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards!
